Stuart Udell is the CEO of Achieve3000. Stuart came to Achieve3000 with extensive leadership experience in the education industry amassed over a 25-year career. Stuart most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of K12 Inc., the nation’s largest operator of virtual schools. Previously, he served as Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Catapult Learning, a school operator and provider of Title I instructional services. Stuart served as Chief Executive Officer of Penn Foster, a global leader in high school and career-focused online learning. His sale of Penn Foster to The Princeton Review was named Deal of the Year by Buyouts Magazine. Stuart spent the 11 years prior at Kaplan, most recently as President of Kaplan K12 Learning Services, where he built the K-12 school division. Stuart also served as President of the School Renaissance Institute, a division of Renaissance Learning, and years later joined the company’s board of directors.
Stuart has spent the last 16 years on the board of the National Dropout Prevention Center, where he was recognized for his substantial contribution as Chairman. He currently serves on the board of directors of the Successful Practices Network, the Foundation for Blended and Online Learning, USATestPrep, and Ventris Learning. He received the Education Warrior Award from the I Have a Dream Foundation. Stuart holds an MBA from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree from Bucknell University.
Mike Vantusko joined Achieve3000 in 2017 as the chief financial officer. He is responsible for internal and external financial reporting and budgeting; tax planning and compliance; credit, investor, and board relations; and supporting growth by optimizing the capital structure of the business.
Prior to joining Achieve3000, Mike was the chief financial officer of private-equity backed MRI Software, a property and investment management software company, and OverDrive, which provides digital content to public libraries and schools. Earlier in his career, he was a public company chief financial officer with extensive experience in financial reporting, mergers and acquisitions, and equity and debt capital formation.
Mike earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Miami University and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University. He is also a certified public accountant with an active license.
Kevin Baird (MBA, ALEP) serves as Chief Academic Officer for Achieve3000. Kevin is a noted leader in college and career readiness content, strategies and standards. He has participated in educational research on every continent save for Antarctica, consulted with governments to create college & career readiness initiatives, and has served as trainer and consultant for states and districts across North America. Kevin has served as Chairman and Senior Faculty at the non-profit Center for College & Career Readiness.
Mr. Baird creates graduate-level programs in College & Career Readiness for school administrators, and is a sought-after speaker around the world. An expert in the use of predictive analytics and artificial intelligence in education, he has helped to create a variety of K-12 and higher ed technologies. Kevin has collaborated with Achieve3000 for more than 15 years and also contributes as a member of our Educator Leadership Council.
Sean Meelia, joined Achieve3000 in May 2017. Sean is responsible for leading all domestic sales and renewals operations. He began his career as a management consultant focused on business process reengineering and activity-based costing projects for government agencies and middle market private companies. Sean entered the education industry in 1999 as a regional sales manager for the e-learning company Blackboard.
Prior to joining Achieve3000, Sean served as the vice president of subscriber services and was responsible for sales and implementation for all SaaS-based products for McGraw-Hill Education’s School Education Group, serving the K-12 marketplace. Before joining McGraw-Hill Education, he also held regional sales director roles for the Campus Management Corporation and Scantron Corporation. Sean earned his Bachelor of Science in finance from The Ohio State University.
Janette joined Achieve3000 in August 2012. As Senior Vice President of Human Resources, she is responsible for human resource strategy and planning, staffing, talent management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and corporate learning and development. Janette has specialized in HR for more than 20 years. During that time, she has held many national and global positions spanning various industries. Prior to joining Achieve, Janette was Vice President of Human Resources for EducationDynamics and U.S. Head of Human Resources for Cooper Notification, where she was the U.S. delegate to the international HR council for the safety division.
Janette holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from West Virginia University. She also holds an SPHR certification from the HR Certification Institute and an SHRM-SCP certification from the Society for Human Resource Management.
Lydia Morris manages marketing strategy and operations for Achieve3000. Lydia joined Achieve3000 with several years of broad and diversified marketing experience. Prior to joining Achieve3000, she spent six years at Time Inc., where she led marketing for the News, Education, and Sports brands, which include TIME Magazine and TIME for Kids. Prior to the media industry, Lydia spent more than 10 years in financial services marketing at Citi, where she worked in several digital marketing roles in the consumer and small business segments.
Lydia spent the early years of her career in policy roles, working on Capitol Hill and for the nonprofit Enterprise Community Partners. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Connecticut College and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Graduate Management at Northwestern University. She is active in her community in Brooklyn, NY, serving as a board member for the St. Nicks Alliance and as a member of the School Leadership Team of Midwood High School.
As the Senior Vice President of Implementation, Kevin oversees all customer relationship integration in the field for Achieve3000.
Kevin is a seasoned operational leader with deep experience extending customer relationships and managing scaled professional development and instructional service organizations. As COO of Literacy First, a highly acclaimed literacy professional development and school improvement practice, Kevin managed all operational functions. When Literacy First was acquired by Catapult Learning, he assumed the role of Vice President of Operations of the National Professional Development Team for Catapult Learning, where he accelerated growth through improved service quality and utilization. Subsequently, Kevin served as Territory Vice President of Northeast Operations of Catapult Learning.
Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco and is an MBA Candidate at Walden University.
