MTPS is located in an affluent region that is known for its high performing school system. With so many competitive elementary and middle school districts located close-by, there is a lot of competition for students seeking acceptance to the county’s vocational schools for specialized education in high-demand occupational fields such as bio-technology, medical sciences, and engineering.
As evidenced by MTPS LevelSet data and as a direct result of the district’s implementation and use of the Achieve3000 platform during the 2016-2017 school year, MTPS students significantly exceeded their expected Lexile growth, and almost 800 more students were on track for college and career readiness.
