REMOTE, ON-SITE, ANYWHERE LITERACY GROWTH

We’re bringing powerful new tools and functionality to Achieve3000 Literacy (formerly known as KidBiz3000, TeenBiz3000, and Empower3000) to deliver outstanding accelerated success for every student, no matter where and how students will be learning.

EQUITY BEGINS WITH ACCESS

Supporting student growth starts with ensuring that every student can access Achieve3000 Literacy and successfully complete lessons. Here’s how we are making it easier than ever:

  • New annotation tool bar to enhance special education accommodations, including picture dictionary, screen masking, and additional highlighting colors.
  • New student note-taking tool embedded at point-of-use in every step of a lesson.
  • Anytime, anyhow access with a full suite of apps and the ability to print any lesson.
  • Brand-new student experience for elementary school where students can more easily explore available lessons and track their performance and successes.

ENGAGEMENT TO ACCELERATE

When your students connect with the content they read, it’s proven they’ll experience greater growth. That’s why we’re adding:

  • Culturally Inclusive Coverage: Stories from U.S. indigenous groups/First Nations, Mexico, the Pacific Rim, South and Central Asia, and more.
  • Teen and Kids channels with embedded social-emotional instruction
  • More Episodic Fiction: We’re adding new, differentiated fiction for grades 3 – 8!
  • COMING SOON! Student Interest Channels: Students can select topics they want to read about weekly, in addition to teacher assignments.
FOUNDATIONAL LITERACY THROUGH LANGUAGE

Helping your SPED and ELL students is more important than ever, and we are adding exciting new content and tools to support them in strengthening their foundational literacy skills:

  • New Word Play Lesson Type: Designed to boost engagement, these lessons focus on vocabulary and include embedded video.
  • 150 Lexile leveled lessons for all content.
  • COMING THIS FALL: Dwayne Reed, the popular educator and rapper, will be building songs with your students in exclusive lessons designed for fun, foundational literacy focus
COLLABORATION FOR ACCELERATION

This year, educators need more tools to ensure that rich collaboration and discussions can happen in their remote or hybrid learning classrooms, so we’re adding:

  • COMING SOON! Class Announcements and Discussion Threads: Teachers will have the ability to post class announcements and host discussions on the home page.
  • New Embedded Discussion Questions: Stretch lessons now include new discussion questions aligned to DOK levels.
  • Rich New Content on The Scoop Channel: Weekly lessons in this channel are designed to build speaking and listening literacy skills with highly engaging content and embedded thought-provoking discussion questions.
BEYOND REPORTS TO INFORMATION FOR ACTION

Monitoring and supporting literacy growth is easy, even when students are working remotely, with these new reporting tools:

  • The Data Center in the Teacher Edition has been expanded to include a new Class Overview view, where teachers can view group and individual trends and easily plan how to support every student’s uninterrupted growth.
  • Elementary school students now have the popular Lexile Tracker (formerly only available for middle and high school students) so that they can track their literacy growth in real-time.
CONTROL YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH MORE CUSTOMIZATION

Especially during times of remote learning, educators need more control. That’s why we added:

  • Top-of-Page Search Filters: Ability to search for lessons by subject area, theme, topic, your state’s learning standard, and lesson types.
  • Favorites Tray: You can now mark and save your favorite lessons with an easy heart tagging tool, and then find and easily assign from your Favorites tray on the home page.
  • Icons for Teacher-Assigned Lessons: Students can now easily differentiate between lessons you assign and the many other lessons they’ll want to read on their own time.
  • Build Your Own Lesson Collections: Curate your own content and build courses that meet your precise curriculum goals.
THE ACHIEVE3000 GUARANTEE

The best part is, we’re so sure of your students’ accelerated growth, we’re guaranteeing it! When your students complete an average of at least 40 lessons over the course of the school year with an average first-try score of 75% or more on the activities, we guarantee 2X expected reading gains on the Lexile® scale! Schools that follow these guidelines but do not achieve 2X reading gains will be entitled to one full year of Achieve3000 Literacy at no charge for that school.
