Getting students to talk to each other is a key factor in implementing collaborative conversations.

On Day 4, Dr. Fisher focuses on starting small with collaborative conversations and working in pairs. Learn about partner experiences, specifically:

  • Paired Silent Interviews
  • Response Cards

ASSIGNMENT

CLASSROOM TASK: START SMALL

Try out one of the two partner experiences in your classroom by adding it to a lesson. Explain the experience to your students in advance. Once they participate in it, watch how the students respond.

 

Reflect on the experience and jot down your thoughts in the Professional Reflection Journal or elsewhere.
