It’s essential to know the reading level of each English language learner so educators can use the knowledge of where they are now to understand how far they have to go to meet college and career readiness targets. Students start ACCESS by taking the built-in LevelSet™ pre-test, which quickly establishes their baseline Lexile® reading level in English or in Spanish and helps to place them in the program. Interim tests and post-tests provide a summative measure of student growth for the semester or school year.
