Focused on accelerating gains for students and building capacity for educators, Achieve3000’s innovative partnership with Dr. Douglas Fisher draws from the research of his book Visible Learning for Literacy, cowritten with Dr. Nancy Frey and Dr. John Hattie, to leverage Achieve3000’s proven-effective platform for even more literacy growth.

Increasing Student Comprehension with Read-Discuss-Read

Developed in partnership with Dr. Douglas Fisher, Achieve3000 is using the latest research to accelerate student learning with a new instructional model called Read-Discuss-Read, designed to increase student comprehension through repeated readings, classroom discussion, and debate. These instructional methods are proven to yield two or more years of gains in a school year (effect sizes ranging from 0.67 to 0.82).

Bringing the Best in Innovative Blended Professional Learning

Dr. Fisher’s 30 Days to Improving Instruction blended learning series is designed to help educators build their skills and practice with strategies they can use in the classroom each day. In this new series, which features a daily video with tips and strategies for increasing student achievement, Dr. Fisher introduces teachers to best practices on such key topics as close reading, collaborative discussions, and innovative ways to engage high school students and accelerate literacy.
