Kentucky Lexile Study

Kentucky believes — and achieves 2.5 expected Lexile gains.

The advantage of Achieve3000 solutions cannot be ignored once you see the results of research that covered 3,893 students in 52 schools across Kentucky. The fact is that those students who were able to integrate either KidBiz, TeenBiz, or Empower into their educational routine made nearly 2.5 times their expected growth norms in reading performance as measured by Lexiles.

Even struggling readers who were at least two years below grade level experienced the same gains of 2.5 times their expected growth norms, effectively closing the reading achievement gap for most of them. Students who completed at least two reading sessions a week with Achieve made the highest Lexile gains. On average, this group achieved an extraordinary 3.5 times the expected growth norms.
