Virginia Lexile Study

The Commonwealth of Virginia believes — and achieves 2.5X expected Lexile growth.

More than 4,600 elementary, middle and high school students in 28 schools were studied to determine if Achieve3000 solutions had a positive impact on their learning. The results of the study were astounding. Students at all grade levels using either the KidBiz, TeenBiz, or Empower, solution made more than 2.5 times their expected growth norms in reading performance as measured by Lexiles.

Equally impressive is that students reading two or more years below grade level at the beginning of the school year made gains of nearly triple the expected growth norms — an average Lexile gain of 116 points — effectively closing the gap for most of the struggling readers.
