Celebrating Success, One Student at a Time

My students have shown incredible improvement due to the consistent use of TeenBiz 3000! I highly recommend the use of this program - it produces results time and time again!

Building a Learning Community

As each year begins, I am saddened to learn that my students’ Lexile™ levels are below what is deemed appropriate for the sixth grade. On average, my students begin the year with Lexile levels ranging from 500 – 700, and to top it off, they are highly unmotivated to read. So I make the announcement that they are now in a competition to improve their Lexile level…and the best part is that they are competing against themselves. The goal is to reach a minimum Lexile level of 925.

At the end of every month, I make an announcement to the class about the growth that each student has made. Everyone applauds each other’s successes, and they also encourage those that are farther behind! It helps build a great learning community. The students become independent learners as they are able to monitor their own progress through the Career Center.

The happy ending occurs when the very bottom of my class is able to achieve the 925 goal. The majority of the students manage to exceed their goal ,and the Lexile level range soars from 1000 – 1300! My students have shown incredible improvement due to the consistent use of TeenBiz 3000! I highly recommend the use of this program – it produces results time and time again!
