Ms. Saki Dodelson is the founder and CEO of Achieve3000. Driven by the belief that all students deserve a great future, she has leveraged over two decades of experience in technology and education in her mission to ensure equity for all students through truly blended, differentiated learning. Using proprietary technology, Achieve3000 offers the only patented platform that assesses students to determine their precise reading levels and then delivers grade-appropriate nonfiction content tailored to each student’s individual Lexile® reading level. By reaching all students one-on-one and extending every teacher’s reach, Achieve3000’s award-winning solutions have been proven effective at raising reading test scores and increasing college and career readiness for millions of students worldwide. The company offers solutions for all grade levels (prekindergarten through adult education) and all instructional needs (including intervention, special education and English language learners).
Winner of the Impact 50 Award, Ms. Dodelson has been named one of the “Top 50 Women Entrepreneurs in America” by Inc. Magazine, a “Hall of Fame Entrepreneur” by the New Jersey Business Journal, an “Entrepreneur of the Year” by Ernst & Young and a finalist for the 2016 EdTech Leadership Award. She holds a master’s degree in computer science and a Master of Business Administration.
Dr. Gertler has been in educational publishing for nearly 20 years, co-founding Achieve3000and serving as its Chief Academic Officer to bring online differentiated instruction to students of all grades and all reading abilities. With experience in developing curriculum, training materials, and instructional design, Dr. Gertler has conceptualized the requirements for a blended learning solution that has transformed literacy instruction. With an expertise in providing training and support for administrators, instructional leaders, and teachers, Dr. Gertler is responsible for the development of materials that help all content-area teachers support the literacy growth needed for life-long learning. She is one of a team that has been awarded a patent for developing a technology-driven solution that assesses students, differentiates content to their precise levels, and accelerates student gains through ongoing progress monitoring.
A member of Achieve3000’s founding team, Rivki has been with Achieve3000 since its inception. Prior to joining Achieve3000, she served as Curriculum Developer for Youthline USA, an educational publication for students in grades 3-8. From 1993-1999 she worked as an elementary school teacher and Reading Specialist, and holds teaching certification in New York and New Jersey. Rivki led Achieve3000’s Product Research and Development Department from 2004-2014, overseeing the development of Achieve3000’s suite of products.
Sean Meelia, joined Achieve3000 in May 2017. Sean is responsible for leading all domestic sales and renewals operations. He began his career as a management consultant focused on business process reengineering and activity-based costing projects for government agencies and middle market private companies. Sean entered the education industry in 1999 as a regional sales manager for the e-learning company Blackboard.
Prior to joining Achieve3000, Sean served as the vice president of subscriber services and was responsible for sales and implementation for all SaaS-based products for McGraw-Hill Education’s School Education Group, serving the K-12 marketplace. Before joining McGraw-Hill Education, he also held regional sales director roles for the Campus Management Corporation and Scantron Corporation. Sean earned his Bachelor of Science in finance from The Ohio State University.
Brian Mills comes to Achieve3000 from McGraw-Hill Education, where he most recently served as the national director of subscriber services and sales, overseeing the sales of its adaptive math and English language arts solutions. Brian has more than 15 years of experience in educational technology at both the K-12 and higher education levels. He also worked with Pearson Education, Campus Management, and Scantron, and he spearheaded the initial K-12 movement at Blackboard. Brian’s knowledge of the industry includes digital and adaptive curricula, learning management systems, web-based assessment, behavior management, and enterprise resource planning solutions across the K-20 market landscape. Brian received his bachelor’s degree in education from Duquesne University and his master’s in instructional technology from George Mason University. Prior to joining the education technology industry, Brian was an elementary teacher in Loudoun County Public Schools in Virginia.
